Blown-in insulation is loose fiber, usually fiberglass or cellulose, blown over an attic floor until the depth is even. It covers wires and odd bays that blankets leave bare.

The work
Baffles are placed at the eaves first so the soffit vents are not buried. The fiber is then blown to a consistent depth. Wet or contaminated material already on the floor is removed first. Blowing new fiber over a soaked layer locks the moisture in.
Blanket insulation is batt insulation. Removing the old layer is insulation removal.
Why it matters
An attic floor loses heat where the insulation is thin, walked down, or missing around a chimney chase. Blown-in fiber is one way to cover those gaps. It is not a seal against a roof leak, and it is not a reason to block the vents.
No savings percentage is promised. The job is an even layer and open intake vents.
What to expect
The attic is inspected, the depth and the price are explained, and blowing starts after you approve it.
A1 Chimney & Roofing is a nationwide team with its own licensed and insured technicians in 27 states. The price is explained before any work starts. Homeowners have left 25,719 Google reviews with a 5.0 rating.
