What is electric fireplace installation?

The opening, the clearance the manufacturer requires, and the electrical circuit are checked before the unit is set. An electric fireplace cannot be vented like a gas unit and should not be tied into a flue as if it were one. If you are replacing a wood fireplace, the old flue is left safe and closed off rather than abandoned open.
