The work

What is chimney restoration?

A restoration is planned from an inspection, not from a single product. Failed mortar is cut out and repacked. Broken brick is replaced. The crown is repaired or rebuilt. Flashing is replaced if it is part of the leak. A cap is added or replaced if the flue is open to the weather.

It is not a disguise. Surface coating over rotten mortar is not restoration. If the chimney is too far gone above the roof, a rebuild of that section is the honest scope.
