What is a Level 3 chimney inspection?

Walls, chase panels, or the chimney structure may have to be opened to see a flue, a liner, or framing that no camera and no attic hatch can show. That is demolition of a finish, so the location and the reason are explained before anything is opened. The inspection stops at what is needed to see the problem.

Most houses never need this. A sale or a change of appliance is Level 2. A yearly look is Level 1.
